However، the Englishwoman’s joy and relief were short-lived. Indeed، the person who had taken in Fred no longer wanted to part with him and wanted to keep him. In addition، the identification company refused to tell him the whereabouts of his cat.

“ It was very frustrating. I went from absolute ecstasy that he was alive and well، to knowing that I couldn’t get him back. I’ve been through days of hell and stress ،” Beryl told the Daily Star.

His last resort? Contact the police، and file a complaint for the theft of his cat. Thanks to this approach، Beryl was able to see her cat again. Officers from the West Mercia police station were able to recover him.

Since then، the retiree has learned more about the adventures of little Fred: “Apparently، a person found him several weeks after his disappearance، but he was in very bad condition. The vet had to remove 18 teeth…he was not scanned right away. »

“ It wasn’t until this person wanted to keep him as a pet that we found out who he really was. It was eventually scanned، which revealed it was mine ،” she continues.

Beryl has gone through all the emotions، but today she is delighted to be able to enjoy her cat، which she intends to pamper until the end of her days. Fred is happy to have found his brother، Geno، with whom he can resume all his good habits.
