Rescuers quickly realized they were going to need a little more assistance، and so they contacted the local fire department to come and help as well. Due to where Albums was located، the firefighters had to make a hole in one of the walls، which took around three hours because it involved removing bricks from the wall one by one.
“He was struggling to breathe where he had wedged himself so tightly between the walls، so time was of the essence،” Parsons said. “However، due to his position، firefighters had to make the hole by removing each brick individually and catching each one so that they didn’t land on top of him and hurt him.”
Finally، after hours of carefully forming an Albums-sized hole، rescuers were able to pull the adventurous cat out of the hole and into their arms. He was very dusty and had a lot of debris in his eyes، but other than that، he seemed perfectly OK. After scanning him for a microchip rescuers were able to locate his mom، who happens to be a vet، so they knew he would be in good hands.
“Having mummy as a vet meant we could leave Albums with her and she treated his eyes and kept a watch on him overnight،” Parsons said. “It’s great when a rescue like this has such a happy ending and I was delighted to reunite Albums with his owner.”
