The mother cat ensures the safety of her kittens by sheltering them in a pile of wood until the rescue team arrives
An Indiana resident was surprised to discover a cat living in a woodpile on their property، but it wasn’t the only cat.
A few weeks ago، the Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership (ARPO) was contacted about a calico cat that needed a foster home. She was found in a woodpile، trying to protect her three little puppies from the cold، harsh elements of the outdoors.
Thanks to the mother cat’s constant devotion، all of the kittens survived. “The owner of the property called our rescue partnership for help. They came to us when the babies were about 10 days old،” Lori White، an ARPO foster volunteer، told Love Meow. The sweet calico kicked up a storm as Lori showed her her new nest. After finding a good spot on a pile of blankets، she lay down and began nursing her hungry little kittens.
You could almost see a smile on his face.
“We named this litter after superheroes: Peter Parker، Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent. Their mom’s name is Diana Prince،” Lori said.
Mom Diana is incredibly loving. She looks after all the needs of her puppies، she never leaves their side and will watch them with that
adoring gaze as they fall fast asleep.
