‘The Office Kittens’ Defy the Odds and Bring Endless Smiles
Panleukopenia Hits the Foster Home
When everything was looking perfect, the foster home was struck with panleukopenia, Panleuk or FPV, and devastatingly, all the kittens caught it. The highly contagious virus is often deadly to young kittens. Thus, all kitten rescuers must be prepared for it and know what to look for. It took round-the-clock care, multiple medications, and even IV infusions to give these kitten any chance at survival.
Miraculously, Dwight, Michael, and Pam survived. However, little Jim suddenly passed away quickly despite all efforts. Throughout, he was constantly surrounded by love. Online, Laura G. and the Grateful Friends Animal Rescue received much support and donations as people rallied around The Office kittens.
Happily, Dwight, Michael, and Pam made unexpected, dramatic
turnarounds, beating the deadly virus. It was certainly cause for celebration! Their appetites and goofy antics returned in full. And as expected, Michael remained a little awkward and clumsy like his TV counterpart. But as you can see, he’s quite the charmer!

With time, Michael’s mobility improved, and his funny antics made everyone laugh. As always, Dwight did his best to grab attention.
Happily, the remaining Office Kittens all continued to thrive. They reached the 2 pound milestone for spay/neuter and adoption day through Grateful Friends Animal Rescue. In foster care, they made many new friends, including larger pal MoMo, also a fortunate Panleuk survivor!

“If ever there was a time for a triple adoption, this is it,” wrote Laura G. “Just the cuddliest, happiest, most personable kitties ever. Non-stop smiles and fun and purrs and cuddles.”
