However, the next day, Platt began to think that perhaps the little kitten should stay with her, and become part of her family.
After carefully introducing the kitten to her rescue dogs, she noticed how much they seemed to like the little cat and she knew that they would be very happy to get a little baby sister.
Platt took the kitten to the vet who determined her to be of good health, and Platt decided to make the kitten part of her family.
She named the kitty Crenshaw, after the name of the street the kitten was found on, and carefully let her get used to her new canine siblings.
Both Platt’s Pit Bull Roxy and her Pomeranian Kasey were immediately smitten by the little cat.Sharra Platt
Especially Roxy, who quickly assumed a motherly role.
The eight-year-old rescue pup washed and cuddled little Crenshaw and did everything she could to keep her safe and happy.
Crenshaw was overjoyed to finally have a mother and grew deeply attached to the sweet pup.
“Crenshaw loves to climb up on Roxy and sleep on her […] I think Roxy is her favorite!” Platt said in an interview with Love Meow.
Crenshaw wanted to spend as much time as possible with her adoptive mommy and was almost always by her side.
She also deeply enjoyed hanging out with Kasey and with Platt’s cat Lucky. She felt very blessed to have such a great family.
Crenshaw was so happy to receive so much love from Platt, her new furry siblings and her new mommy Roxy, and quickly grew big a strong.
Now, she’s all grown up and is as happy as ever.
She loves spending time with her family and is still deeply attached to her mommy Roxy.
We’re sure she’ll never forget everything Roxy did for her when she was just a tiny, frightened orphan in need of love and care.
Now, Crenshaw never has to be alone again; she has been blessed with a wonderful family and a fantastic life filled with love and happiness.
