Cricket, the pretty silver tabby, doesn’t let anything stop him from living life to the fullest. Life may be “a little tougher” for him, but he shows how resilient and adaptable the kitten spirit can be.
“Cricket is an absolute bundle of joy and energy! He is so playful, curious, and happy. Witnessing his spirit is truly inspiring
” shared Grace from the Happy Kitty Rescue.

As you can see, Cricket’s two rear legs end in fuzzy nubs. After examination, veterinarians suspected he might have lost his paws in a trap as a very young kitten. But somehow, he got out and survived, ending up in a Los Angeles shelter.
That’s when things took a huge turn for the better.

One Lucky Cricket
When the shelter sent out a plea for someone to rescue the kitten, he caught the eye of Grace, founder of the Happy Kitty Rescue. The rescuer cares for Joey, a famous cat in the rescue world saved from a shelter with two shortened front legs.
Once considered feral; Joey became the cutest foster uncle for all the foster babies in the home.

When Grace saw Cricket, he reminded her of Joey, and she knew had to save this kitten. Right away, she drove to pick him up and brought him home, bathing and giving him lots of love. He warmed up quickly and even started playing with toys for the first time.
“I saw a plea from the shelter about a kitten with missing hind limbs. His disability reminded me so much of Joey’s… I couldn’t say no!” Grace shared.
